Our History
SummitReheis brings together two companies with a long history of expertise in antiperspirant and deodorant products.
In the 1940s, Reheis, Inc. began operating in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey as a manufacturer of specialty chemicals. The company would go on to become one of the world's leading producers of high purity aluminum- and zirconium-based chemicals.
Summit Research Labs, Inc. was founded in 1962 in Somerset, New Jersey as a manufacturer of liquid antiperspirant products. The company continued to expand with the acquisition of additional facilities and increases in production capacity, becoming a world-leading supplier to the antiperspirant industry.
In 2008, with a solid customer base, a reputation for dependability and superior quality, and global distribution in more than 35 countries, Summit acquired Reheis, Inc.’s antiperspirant business.
