Soft Solids/Creams
Antiperspirant soft solids are anhydrous products in which a fine particle size powder active is dispersed in a mixture of volatile and non-volatile fluids. The entire composition is then formed into an extrudable semi-solid using selected rheology control agents. These products use activated Aluminum Zirconium to obtain high levels of clinical protection.
SummitReheis offers the following suggested powder actives for antiperspirant soft solids (in decreasing order of expected clinical performance):
| Actives: | Description: |
|---|---|
| UltraZAG A77 | Enhanced Aluminum Zirconium TetrachlorohydrexGly with maximum controlled aluminum and zirconium polymer distributions and a low metals to chloride ratio of 1.15:1 |
| AAZG-7167 | Enhanced Aluminum Zirconium TetrachlorohydrexGly with zirconium control and aluminum peak 4 enrichment and 85% minimum <10 microns |
| Reach AZP-908 | Enhanced Aluminum Zirconium TetrachlorohydrexGly with 85% minimum <10 microns |
Antiperspirant creams are essentially thickened oil-in-water emulsions. Aluminum Zirconium actives in solution form are recommended. SummitReheis offers the following suggested liquid actives for antiperspirant emulsion creams (in decreasing order of expected clinical performance):
| Actives: | Description: |
|---|---|
| AZG-368/AZG-442 | Aluminum Zirconium Tetrachlorohydrex gly (35%/45% solutions) with a metals to chloride ratio of 1.4:1 |
| Reach 301L | Aluminum Sesquichlorohydrate (50%) solution) with an aluminum to chloride ratio of 1.65:1 |
