Aerosols
The powder-in-oil suspension aerosol is the most popular global form of antiperspirant aerosol. It has evolved to substitute volatile silicones for the more traditional emollient esters as well as propellants that meet current regulatory and environmental guidelines. Activated Aluminum Chlorohydrate in powder or spherical bead form is the preferred active ingredient to achieve maximum efficacy in antiperspirant aerosols.
SummitReheis offers the following suggested powder actives for antiperspirant aerosols (in decreasing order of expected clinical performance):
| Actives: | Description: |
|---|---|
| AACH-7171/AACH-7172 | Enhanced peak 4 Aluminum Chlorohydrate with either 99% minimum < 45 microns or spherical beads between 10 - 75 microns |
| Reach 103 | Enhanced peak 4 Aluminum Chlorohydrate with 97% minimum < 45 microns |
| Micro-Dry 323 | Impalpable Aluminum Chlorohydrate with 97% minimum < 45 microns |
